Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Zanussi Refrigerator.
Regular Dusting
Once or twice a year, dust the condenser and the compressor at the back of the appliance using a brush or vacuum cleaner to maintain efficient performance and prevent excessive electricity consumption.
Internal Cleaning
Clean the inside and accessories of the refrigerator with warm water and bicarbonate of soda (5ml to 0.5 litre of water). Rinse and dry thoroughly. Avoid using detergents, abrasive powders, highly perfumed cleaning products, or wax polishes as they can damage the interior surfaces and leave a strong smell.
Defrosting
The refrigerator automatically defrosts each time the compressor stops. Ensure the water discharge hole in the V-shaped drip collector is clean to prevent overflow. Use the defrost cleaner provided to clean the discharge hole regularly.
Energy Saving Tips
Do not place the refrigerator near heat sources such as radiators or boilers. Ensure it is located in a cool, well-ventilated room with unobstructed air openings. Avoid unnecessary frosting by packing food in airtight packages and allowing warm food to cool before putting it in the fridge.
Temperature Settings
The thermostat controls the internal temperature with 6 positions, where position 1 is minimum coldness and position 6 is maximum. An intermediate setting (3-4) is usually suitable. Adjust the thermostat based on room temperature, frequency of door opening, and quantity of stored food.
